  • 1 kg Chicken, bone-in or boneless (cut into pieces)

  • 4 pieces Green chilies
  • 6 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 0.5 cup Plain yogurt
  • 2 medium Onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, pureed
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil or ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Clean and wash the chicken pieces thoroughly. Pat them dry and set aside.

Step 2

In a blender, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, garlic cloves, and ginger. Blend into a smooth paste using a little water if required. Set this green masala paste aside.

In a large pan or deep skillet, heat vegetable oil or ghee over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them crackle for a few seconds.
