Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.33 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 0.33 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and heat until shimmering.

Step 3

Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and sear on each side for 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

Step 5

Stir in the balsamic vinegar, chicken broth, and honey. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes to slightly thicken and concentrate the flavors.

Step 6

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cover the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Flip the chicken halfway through cooking to ensure even coating with the sauce.

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a plate for 2-3 minutes.

Step 8

Simmer the balsamic sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes, if needed, to reach your desired thickness.

Step 9

Serve the chicken breasts topped with the balsamic vinegar sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
