Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Bow tie pasta (farfalle)
  • 2 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bow tie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.

Step 4

In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir to combine and let it simmer gently for 3-4 minutes.

Slice the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces and add it back to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
