Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and set aside.
Cook the wild rice: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of wild rice and 2 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 40 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Set aside.
While the rice is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk and cook until thickened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Add shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Assemble the dish: In the prepared baking dish, combine the cooked wild rice, chicken pieces, blanched asparagus and broccoli, and the cheese sauce. Mix everything together until evenly coated.
Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until bubbly and slightly golden on top.
