Ingredients

  • 12 oz Spaghetti
  • 2 pieces Chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 28 oz Crushed tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

While the spaghetti is cooking, season the chicken breasts with half of the salt and black pepper.

Step 4

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove chicken from the skillet, let it rest for 5 minutes, then shred or cube it.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.

Pour in the crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, dried basil, dried oregano, and the remaining salt and pepper. Simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the shredded chicken and cooked spaghetti into the sauce. Mix until everything is evenly coated.

Transfer the spaghetti mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
