Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground chicken
  • 150 g Ricotta cheese
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, ricotta cheese, breadcrumbs, one egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.

Step 3

Lay out the puff pastry sheets on a clean surface. If they are frozen, allow them to thaw first.

Step 4

Divide the chicken mixture in half and shape each portion into a log, approximately the length of the pastry sheets.

Step 5

Place one chicken log on the edge of each pastry sheet and roll the pastry tightly around the filling, sealing the edge with a little water.

Cut each roll into four equal pieces, creating eight sausage rolls in total. Place them seam-side-down on the prepared baking tray.

Step 7

Whisk the second egg with the milk to create an egg wash. Brush this mixture over the tops of the sausage rolls.
