Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining and set the pasta aside.
While the pasta cooks, prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with 0.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.25 teaspoons of black pepper.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken and set aside on a plate.
