  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Chicken stock
  • 0.25 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken thighs on both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
