Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cups Broccoli florets
  • 12 ounces Pasta (penne, fusilli, or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Basil pesto sauce
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook them for 5–6 minutes per side or until fully cooked through. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
