Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 links Chicken and apple sausage (fully cooked, sliced)
  • 1 medium Yellow onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 4 large Fresh tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil leaves (chopped)
  • 12 ounces Pasta of choice (cooked and drained)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (grated, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the sliced chicken and apple sausage to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion. Sauté for 5-6 minutes, or until softened and translucent.
