  • 2 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 3 cups Peanut oil
  • 12 pieces Mini yeast rolls
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Directions

Step 1

Start by cutting the chicken breasts into approximately 1-inch cubes.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg. Add the chicken pieces to this mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.

While the chicken is marinating, in another bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Heat the peanut oil in a large heavy pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
