Ingredients

  • 8 pounds bone-in spiral-cut ham
  • 1 cup unsweetened cherry preserves
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Step 2

Place the ham in a large roasting pan, flat-side down. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil to keep the ham moist while baking.

Step 3

Bake the ham in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes (or about 10-12 minutes per pound if using a larger ham).

Step 4

While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cherry preserves, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, garlic powder, and water.

Step 5

Stir the glaze mixture until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce begins to simmer, about 3-5 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes to slightly thicken.

Step 6

After 1 hour and 30 minutes of baking, remove the ham from the oven and carefully uncover it. Using a basting brush, generously coat the ham with half of the cherry Dijon glaze.

Step 7

Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 20-30 minutes, basting with the remaining glaze every 10 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized and shiny.

Step 8

Once the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Step 9

Serve warm and enjoy your Cherry Dijon Glazed Ham with your favorite holiday sides!
