  • 4 tbsp Cherry or berry jam
  • 30 g Almond flakes, toasted
  • 6 leaves Mint leaves, for garnish

Directions

Step 1

1. Wash and prepare the fresh cherries by pitting and halving them. Clean the blueberries and set aside.

2. Cut the sponge cake into 1-2 inch cubes and set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, use a whisk or handheld mixer to whip the chilled cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat. Place the whipped cream in the refrigerator to keep it chilled.

4. In a trifle bowl or individual serving glasses, start layering the dessert. Begin with a layer of sponge cake cubes at the bottom.
