Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly with olive oil.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, onion, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Mix gently using your hands or a large spoon until the ingredients are evenly incorporated. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Step 4

Using a tablespoon or a small cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and roll it into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place each meatball on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches if necessary, sear the meatballs for 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown. This step adds extra flavor.

Step 6

Transfer the seared meatballs back to the baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the meatballs on their own, with marinara sauce, over pasta, or with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
