Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1.5 cups Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane on the underside. Pat them dry with paper towels.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a dry rub.

Step 4

Generously season both sides of the ribs with the dry rub, pressing it into the meat.

Step 5

Wrap each rack of ribs individually in aluminum foil, sealing them tightly to lock in moisture.

Step 6

Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours until the ribs are tender.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and honey in a medium saucepan.

Step 8

Simmer the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 9

After 3 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Brush both sides generously with the barbecue sauce.

Step 10

Preheat your grill or broiler to high heat. Grill or broil the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side, brushing with additional barbecue sauce, until caramelized and slightly charred.

Step 11

Allow the ribs to rest for 5 minutes before slicing into individual servings.

Step 12

Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce on the side, and enjoy!
