  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Heat a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Allow the oil to melt and heat up.

Step 2

Add a few popcorn kernels to the pot and cover with a lid. Wait for these kernels to pop; this will indicate that the oil is hot enough.

Step 3

Once the test kernels have popped, remove them and add the rest of the popcorn kernels to the pot in an even layer. Cover the pot again, leaving a small crack for steam to escape.

Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning. Continue cooking until the popping slows down to about 2-3 seconds between pops, then remove the pot from heat.
