  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 piece large egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 4 pieces tomato slices
  • 0 optional condiments (e.g., ketchup, mayo, mustard)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Once the oil is hot, add the tuna patties to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
