Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 10 pieces Taco shells (hard or soft)
  • 1 cup Shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 0.25 cup Diced red onion
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Drain excess fat if necessary, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is well-coated in the seasoning and slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place taco shells on a baking sheet and sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of shredded pepper jack cheese into the bottom of each shell. Bake for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the shells are warm.
