Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup Whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (melted)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Chives (chopped, optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take a 12-cup muffin tin and lightly grease each cup with non-stick spray or a thin coat of butter.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, and melted butter until smooth and well combined.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients while whisking continuously. Ensure there are no lumps in the batter.

Step 5

Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring it's evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Step 6

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full to allow room for the puffs to rise.

Step 7

Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the egg puffs are set and the tops are golden and slightly crispy.

Step 8

Remove the muffin tin from the oven and let the cheesy egg puffs cool for 2–3 minutes before carefully removing them from the tin.

Step 9

Garnish with chopped chives, if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy!
