Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork chops
  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 spray Cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley

Directions

Step 1

Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Step 2

Peel and thinly slice the russet potatoes into 1/4-inch rounds and set aside. Thinly slice the onion as well.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

Step 4

Layer half of the potato slices and half of the onion slices at the bottom of the crock pot.

Step 5

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the potato and onion layer.

Step 6

Pour half of the soup mixture over the cheese layer to coat it evenly.

Step 7

Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, onions, another 1 cup of cheddar cheese, and the rest of the soup mixture.

Step 8

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter. Sear the pork chops for 2 minutes per side until golden brown. They do not need to be fully cooked, as they will finish cooking in the crock pot.

Step 9

Place the seared pork chops on top of the layered potato and onion mixture in the crock pot.

Step 10

Cover the crock pot with its lid and set it to cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops are fully cooked.

Step 11

Once cooking is complete, carefully remove the lid and sprinkle parsley over the top for garnish.

Step 12

Serve warm and enjoy this cheesy, savory meal with your family or guests!
