Ingredients

  • 12 oz Cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups Cherry tomatoes

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 4 quarts Water

Directions

Step 1

Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Once boiling, add a pinch of salt and the cheese tortellini. Cook according to the package instructions (usually 3-5 minutes) until tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the tortellini cooks, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
