Ingredients

  • 4 large firm tomatoes
  • 100 grams cream cheese
  • 100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 30 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 50 grams breadcrumbs

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Wash the tomatoes and slice off the tops. Carefully scoop out the seeds and pulp using a spoon to create hollow shells. Set the pulp aside for later use.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and chopped basil. Mix well until smooth.

Step 4

Drizzle the inside of the hollowed-out tomatoes with olive oil and season lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Stuff each tomato with the cheese mixture, packing it in gently to fill each one completely.

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and some chopped basil if desired. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture generously over the tops of the stuffed tomatoes.
