Ingredients

  • 1 whole Round rye bread loaf
  • 227 grams Cream cheese
  • 120 grams Sour cream
  • 180 grams Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 120 grams Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 grams Diced green onions
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

Slice off the top of the round rye bread loaf and set it aside. Hollow out the loaf by removing the bread from the inside, leaving about 1 inch of bread around the outer edges to form a bowl. Reserve the removed bread pieces for dipping later.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella, diced green onions, minced garlic, salt, ground black pepper, and paprika. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Step 4

Spoon the cheese mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl, packing it evenly.

Step 5

Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet. Arrange the reserved bread chunks around the bread bowl on the same baking sheet for toasting, if desired.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese mixture is bubbling and golden on top, and the bread chunks are toasted.

Step 7

Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Let the cheese-filled bread bowl cool slightly before serving.

Step 8

Serve warm by tearing off pieces of the toasted bread chunks or the bread bowl itself to dip into the hot, cheesy filling.
