Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon Nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Bread crumbs
  • 3 cups Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the all-purpose flour and whisk continuously for 2 minutes to form a smooth roux.

Gradually pour in the milk while whisking to combine. Cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
