Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes, until frothy.

Add the olive oil, salt, and approximately 2.5 cups of the all-purpose flour to the yeast mixture. Mix with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to come together.
