Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef
  • 0.5 lbs Italian sausage (ground)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 8 oz Button mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix with your hands or a spoon until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Step 3

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until they are soft and golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 4

On a piece of parchment paper or a clean surface, spread the meat mixture into a large rectangle about 1 inch thick.
