Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
  • 8 slices Ham slices
  • 8 slices Cheese slices (preferably cheddar or Swiss)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface until they are approximately 12x12 inches in size.

Cut each pastry sheet into four equal squares, making a total of 8 squares.

Place a slice of ham on each square of pastry, followed by a slice of cheese.

If using, spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each slice of cheese.
