Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch crust Premade pie crust
  • 2 cups (shredded) Sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon Ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions (chopped, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

If using a premade pie crust, place it into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges to make a decorative border. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent bubbling.

Step 3

Blind bake the pie crust by placing a sheet of parchment paper on top of it and filling it with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 10 minutes, remove the weights and parchment, and bake for another 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.
