  • 6 tablespoons Water (cold)
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, dried oregano, and chili flakes. Mix well to evenly distribute the dry ingredients.

Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using your fingertips or a pastry cutter, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing with a fork until the dough comes together. The dough should be firm but not overly sticky.
