Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cardamom
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 0.33 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg until well combined.

Step 3

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and uniform.

Step 4

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently with a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.

Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly with the back of a spoon or spatula.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Step 7

Remove the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.

Step 8

Carefully transfer the loaf to a wire rack and let it cool completely before slicing and serving.
