Ingredients

  • 1 piece (approximately 1-inch thick, about 1.5 pounds) Center cut ham steak
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F) and oil the grates lightly to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and apple cider vinegar to form a smooth glaze.

Step 3

Brush both sides of the center cut ham steak with olive oil to keep it moist during grilling.

Step 4

Generously brush one side of the ham steak with the prepared brown sugar glaze.

Step 5

Place the ham steak on the grill, glaze-side down. Cook for about 5-6 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.

Step 6

Brush the top side of the ham steak with more glaze, then flip it over using tongs. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes on the second side, or until the ham is heated through and slightly charred around the edges.

Step 7

Remove the ham steak from the grill and let it rest for 3 minutes to retain its juices.

Step 8

Slice the ham steak into portions and serve warm with your favorite side dishes like grilled vegetables or mashed potatoes.
