  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable stock
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 liter water for soaking noodles

Directions

Step 1

Place the cellophane noodles in a large bowl and cover them with 1 liter of hot water. Let them soak for 10-15 minutes or until they soften. Drain the noodles and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the pork from the pan and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and the onions become translucent.
