Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh fruit (apples, peaches, or mixed berries)
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 0.75 cups brown sugar
  • 0.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

Step 2

Prepare the fruit filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh fruit, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the fruit evenly. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 3

In another bowl, prepare the crumble topping: Combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and ground cinnamon. Add the softened butter and use your fingers or a fork to work it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling.

Step 6

Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Step 7

Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
