Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Mix the ingredients together gently with your hands or a large spoon until just combined. Avoid overmixing to ensure the meatballs stay tender.

Step 3

Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, form the mixture into evenly sized balls, approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place the meatballs on a plate or tray.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook in batches if necessary.

Step 6

Sear the meatballs for 2–3 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms.

Step 7

Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking the meatballs for an additional 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 8

Optional: If serving with sauce, add your favorite marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer the meatballs in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 9

Serve hot over pasta, in a sub sandwich, or as an appetizer with toothpicks and dipping sauce.
