Ingredients

  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 200 g semisweet chocolate chips
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 3 pieces large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 100 g walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 200 g soft caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the semisweet chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture, whisking constantly to combine.
