  • 0.5 cup Chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or a large round baking pan with cooking spray.

Peel, core, and finely dice the Granny Smith apple. Set it aside.

In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and heavy cream, cooking until smooth and bubbly to create the caramel sauce. Stir in the vanilla extract and pour the sauce into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
