Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Tilapia fillets
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges

Directions

Step 1

Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and set them aside.

Step 2

In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and ground black pepper.

Step 3

Dredge each tilapia fillet in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour.

Step 4

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

Step 5

Once the butter has melted and the pan is hot, place the floured tilapia fillets in the skillet. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.

Step 6

Cook each fillet for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The fish should flake easily with a fork.

Step 7

Remove the cooked fillets from the skillet and transfer them to a plate. Cover loosely with foil to keep warm.

Step 8

Using the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and lemon juice. Stir to combine.

Step 9

Add the chopped parsley and red pepper flakes to the sauce, then drizzle the sauce over the cooked tilapia fillets.

Step 10

Serve the tilapia hot with a lemon wedge on the side for squeezing. This dish pairs beautifully with rice or steamed vegetables.
