Ingredients

  • 20 pieces Large white mushrooms
  • 1 cup Lump crab meat
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese
  • 0.3333 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 3 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Paprika (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.

Step 2

Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp paper towel. Remove the stems and set the caps aside. Finely chop the stems and keep them for the filling.

Step 3

In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped mushroom stems and garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked mushroom stems and garlic with the lump crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the filling is evenly combined.

Step 5

Using a small spoon, scoop the filling into each mushroom cap, slightly mounding it on top. Arrange the filled mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 6

Brush the remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter over the tops of the stuffed mushrooms. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of paprika over the filling for garnish.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is golden and bubbly.

Step 8

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy as an appetizer or side dish!
