Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Instant coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoons Hot water
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Mascarpone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 12 pieces Ladyfingers (savoiardi biscuits)
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons Dark chocolate (optional, grated for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, dissolve the instant coffee powder in the hot water. Set aside to cool.

Step 2

Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Set this whipped cream aside in the refrigerator.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, the remaining 0.5 cup of heavy cream, vanilla extract, and the cooled coffee mixture. Beat this until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Fold half of the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Reserve the remaining whipped cream for topping.

Pour the whole milk into a shallow dish. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the milk and line the bottom of your serving dish or individual glasses with a single layer of soaked ladyfingers.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers evenly.
