Ingredients

  • 1 tube (8 biscuits) Canned refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 as needed (optional for greasing) Cooking spray or melted butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or a thin layer of melted butter, or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 2

Open the canned biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Lightly sprinkle the countertop with a small amount of flour to prevent sticking.

Step 3

Using a rolling pin or your hands, gently roll each biscuit into an oval shape, about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide.

Step 4

In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter (about 30 seconds in the microwave).

Step 5

In another small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together until they are evenly combined.

Step 6

Brush the melted butter over the surface of each rolled-out biscuit oval. Sprinkle each one generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Step 7

Fold each biscuit oval in half lengthwise (the cinnamon-sugar side should be inside). Gently twist the folded dough a few times to form a spiral shape. Press the ends lightly to help the twist hold its shape.

Step 8

Place each twisted biscuit onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 9

Brush the tops of the twists lightly with any remaining melted butter and sprinkle a little more cinnamon-sugar mixture on top for extra flavor.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuit twisters are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 11

Remove the twisters from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. These are best enjoyed warm but can also be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
