Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 6 oz cans canned tuna
  • 2 10.5 oz cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

While the noodles cook, drain the canned tuna and flake it into small pieces with a fork.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, tuna, cream of mushroom soup, frozen peas, milk, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

Step 5

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter. Pour the noodle mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 6

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Step 7

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Mix until the breadcrumbs are coated, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the cheese layer.

Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.

Step 9

Allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
