  • 1 medium Yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced

  • 1.5 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups Frozen tater tots
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil or butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until fully browned and no longer pink, about 6-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 additional minute.
