Ingredients

  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cup Cooked ham (diced)
  • 0.25 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Bell peppers (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon Onions (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons Cherry tomatoes (diced)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 bag Resealable freezer bags (quart-size)

Directions

Step 1

Fill a medium-sized pot with water and bring it to a gentle boil over a campfire or camping stove.

Step 2

Crack the eggs into a resealable freezer bag. Seal the bag and gently squeeze or shake to beat the eggs until well combined.

Step 3

Open the bag and add the diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, bell peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Seal the bag again, making sure to remove as much air as possible. Shake or knead the bag gently to mix the ingredients evenly.

Step 5

Carefully lower the sealed bag into the pot of boiling water, ensuring it is fully submerged. Allow it to cook for 12-15 minutes or until the eggs are set and cooked through.

Step 6

Using tongs or a heat-resistant glove, carefully remove the bag from the boiling water. Let it cool for a minute before opening the bag.

Step 7

Gently slide the omelet out of the bag onto a plate and serve immediately. Customize with additional toppings if desired!
