Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef or shaved steak
  • 1 Yellow onion, diced
  • 1 Green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • 2 tubes Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Step 4

Add the ground beef or shaved steak to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Step 5

Stir in the Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and heated through. Remove from heat.

Step 6

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into rectangles by pressing together the perforated seams. Each tube should make 4 rectangles, for a total of 8.

Step 7

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto one half of each rectangle. Top with half a slice of provolone cheese.

Step 8

Fold the other half of the dough rectangle over the filling and press the edges together with a fork to seal. Repeat for all rectangles.

Step 9

Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown.

Step 11

Let the cheesesteak pockets cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
