Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Quick oats
  • 1.5 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Peanut butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan. You can also line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Step 6

Stir in the quick oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough. The dough will be thick.

Step 7

Press half of the dough into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

Step 8

Spread the peanut butter over the dough layer, creating an even peanut butter layer. If the peanut butter is difficult to spread, heat it gently in the microwave for a few seconds to soften.

Step 9

Spread the remaining dough over the peanut butter layer, using your fingers to gently press and cover the top as evenly as possible.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Be careful not to overbake, as the bars will firm up as they cool.

Step 11

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares or rectangles.

Step 12

Store the Camp Winema Mountain Bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
