Ingredients

  • 1 piece Camembert cheese wheel
  • 200 grams Fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 sprig Fresh thyme (optional for garnish)
  • 1 serving Crackers or crusty bread

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

Unwrap the Camembert cheese wheel and place it in a small, oven-safe dish. If the cheese is wrapped in paper packaging, discard the paper and keep the wooden box for baking.

Step 3

Use a sharp knife to score the top rind of the Camembert in a crosshatch pattern. This will make it easier to scoop out the creamy cheese after baking.

Step 4

Place the cheese in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the center is gooey and melted.

Step 5

While the cheese is baking, prepare the raspberry sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the fresh raspberries, honey, lemon juice, and water.

Step 6

Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently and gently mashing the raspberries with the back of a spoon. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 7

Remove the raspberry sauce from the heat and strain it through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a smooth sauce. For a chunkier texture, skip this step.

Step 8

Once the Camembert is done, remove it from the oven and carefully transfer it to a serving platter, if desired.

Step 9

Spoon the warm raspberry sauce generously over the top of the baked Camembert.

Step 10

Garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme for a pop of color and additional flavor, if desired.

Step 11

Serve immediately with crackers or slices of crusty bread for dipping. Enjoy!
