Ingredients

  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 6 cups kale, stems removed and thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup water (optional, to adjust consistency)

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside.

In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
