  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cups chicken broth
  • 2 scallions, chopped (optional garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Set aside.

Step 2

In a medium-sized pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Set aside.
