Ingredients

  • 4 large Russet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Step 2

Wash the Russet potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry. Leave the skin on for extra crispiness and flavor.

Step 3

Cut the potatoes into evenly sized fries, about 1/4-inch thick. Try to make them as uniform as possible to ensure even cooking.

Step 4

In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the Cajun spice blend.

Step 5

Place the potato slices in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over them, then sprinkle the Cajun spice blend. Toss until all the potato slices are evenly coated.

Step 6

Spread the seasoned potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overlapping for the best results.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, flip the fries over, and return to bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the fries are crispy and golden brown.

Step 8

Remove the fries from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, sprinkle with a little additional salt if needed.

Step 9

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup, ranch, or spicy aioli, and enjoy!
