Ingredients

  • 600 grams lamb loin (trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 6 pieces wooden or metal skewers
  • 200 grams sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoons water (optional to thin dressing)

Directions

Step 1

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning while grilling.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the lamb cubes, Cajun seasoning, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and half of the salt. Toss well to ensure the lamb is evenly coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

While the lamb marinates, prepare the sour cream dressing. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, parsley, ground cumin, the remaining salt, and black pepper. Add water one tablespoon at a time if you'd like a thinner consistency. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

Step 4

Once marinated, thread the lamb cubes onto the skewers, distributing the pieces evenly.

Step 5

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the lamb reaches your desired doneness (medium-rare to medium is suggested).

Step 6

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 7

Serve the lamb skewers hot with a generous side of sour cream dressing and garnish with additional parsley if desired.
